PICTURES FROM RHEANNA

Rheanna sent some pics this morning that we wanted to share.  She is keeping very busy and trying to get adjusted to the time change and her schedule.  She has a roommate, a contractor that is a Dr.,and is 63 years old.  Sounds like a good room mate to us.  The pics that she sent are her practicing her weapon skills on an Afgan Army base...she said it was pretty interesting.

Ryann continues to grow and be happy and healthy.  This weekend Adam's godparents, Chris and Blake visited from Weiser, Idaho so she got lots of attention from adoring adults.  She is almost sitting up by herself and chews on anything within her reach.  We send pics daily to Rheanna and try to Face Time as much as possible.  Thanks to all of you who said you would email, write or send packages...we know she will look forward to any thoughts from home.

Working Woman

Rheanna Reported For Duty!

Rheanna was able to Face Time with Adam for a time today which he was so happy about.  When she tried to Face Time with Ryann she was not able to get through as too many people were on the net.
I am sure everyone is trying to talk with their loved ones.

We got some info about her work day.  She works every day of the week 8-8, except on Fridays she goes in at 1 and Sundays at 11.  She said her 1st day was not too bad, just a lot of in processing.

We send pics of Ryann everyday and she said it makes her bawl....she is missing her little girl very my much.
It is easy to forget that we have men and women serving their country when you do not have someone you love involved, but our families really appreciate your support and your thoughtfulness.

She's Arrived!

WARNING TO CAMP EGGERS:

Captain Rheanna Felton is in the house.  Rheanna arrived early this morning in Kabul.  She of course is exhausted and without her saying it, we are sure she is missing Ryann and Adam.  Just to give you a sense of time it is 7:22 a.m. tomorrow as I write this at 8:53 Tuesday night.  Just wanted you to know she has arrived safely.

We have been keeping Ryann Faith busy to keep her mind off mommy, although we know that is impossible.  She went to the park, to Starbucks, played, and then toured the Olympic Training Center in  the Springs.

Thanks for your support and we know Rheanna will be looking forward to mail.

If Only Rhe Got Air Miles.....

It is hard to believe but Rheanna is STILL traveling.  She left this morning from Kuwait and flew on a C-17 to Kandahar where some people got off but she stayed on and flew to Bagram Air Field.  She is staying there for now and hopes to get to Kabul soon.  Her and Adam did Face Time today and when Adam got home from work Ryann was able to Face Time with Rhe....she gets very excited when she sees her mommy and hears her voice.

Since we have no recent pics of Rheanna you are stuck with pics of Ryann Faith...darn...and just to keep everyone happy even one of Moose.

Thanks for the emails concerning the blog...I have heard from a few that are having trouble opening the page so hopefully I can figure that out.

RHEANNA IS IN KUWAIT

The Latest Report!

Rheanna flew out of Fort Benning and they landed in Germany where the plane fueled up and a new flight crew came on.  She got into Kuwait today and has met a woman who is a contractor that is going to the same place in Kabul as her so they will travel together tomorrow afternoon to Camp Eggers.  They will fly on a military plane and it is about a 6 hour flight.  She is in great spirits but of course exhausted from all of her emotions and the long travel time.

Adam made it back from Georgia late last night and was relieved to hear from Rheanna this evening.

Ryann continues to be filling up her days with playing and laughing at her best friend Moose.

Rheanna asked me to pass on her address to all of you...we know she would appreciate hearing from you.  It always means so much to know that people are thinking of you.

Rheanna Deployed Today...
Adam said good-bye to Rhe early this morning as she left for her deployment.  She then had to wait in a" holding area" at Fort Benning to get on the plane around 1 PM Eastern time.  That gave her a chance to make some phone calls and even have some "face-time" with Ryann Faith.  Ryann got so excited seeing her mommy on the phone and hearing her voice.  So now we are in count down mode that her time has started and we cannot wait for her to return safely to all of us.  We thank all of you who are keeping her in your thoughts and prayers throughout this year.
We have put a candle in the window that we light each night for Rheanna.  The tradition is as follows: during war times mothers and wives would point to the candle in the window before their son or husband went to war and assured them that it would be lit every night waiting for him to come home safe and sound.  It was to show him he was much loved and would never be forgotten. So we turn on the candle  every night knowing Adam and Ryann will have Rhe home soon and how much she is loved.
The candle is outside of Ryann's room so it a wonderful reminder for her of Rheanna and how much she is missed!
Smiling Ryann Faith

Our Private Benjamin

We always tease Rheanna how she reminds us of Goldie Hawn in Private Benjamin but we could not be farther from the truth.  She is an amazing Captain with the U.S. Army and being so brave about her deployment.  She is dedicated and strong and we all are so proud of her.

Adam left this morning to be with her when she leaves
Friday morning.  It will be a very sad good-bye for them we are sure.
He will return late Friday evening.  He has been very busy
with this being his first week of school with kids, but is loving the start
of the school year.

Ryann Faith continues to be happy and healthy.  There is never a dull moment with her around.  Our day consists of walks with her and Moose, going to the park, playing, eating and sleeping.  She does all of them very well.  She misses her mommy lots and every morning is started out with a kiss on her picture and every night is ended with a prayer that mommy gets home soon.
